"These Golden Moments in Time...Hold them tight to your heart and soul...and I will hold them to mine. Each smile~each kiss~each tear...How precious and pure, but in time they will disappear." ~ Louise Lagerman

The Ho Ho Ho Holidays Have Come Early!

Thank you. To everyone who took the time to enter the Max & Mimi session give-away. Who shared the contest with friends. Who struggled and spent way too much time TRYING to leave a blog comment (there were several of you...still not sure what the glitch was...but I promise I entered you all!)...and those of you who DID succeed in leaving a comment.

A little side note about THOSE comments. When I posted the contest, I envisioned a brief "please enter me in the contest" kind of comment...and you all took the time to leave such lovely notes...I treasure each one...your words so sweet and so unexpected...thank you for that.

So okay...enough of that...on to the good stuff... :-)

Since some people had issues leaving a comment on the blog...I decided that the only fair way to choose the winner would be the old fashioned way. I did not anticipate just HOW much eye rolling from my husband that this particular choice would elicit. But in the end, he was convinced in my "genius"!

It happened to be my daughter's birthday today. 8 years old...and all sorts of excited about the prospect of cake and presents. So it turned out to be the perfect job for her to cut and hand write each and every entry. She took the job very seriously...and as I cooked her birthday manicotti, I enjoyed hearing her shout out as she finished each name on the list...and it kept her calmly busy enough for the rest of us to retain our sanity. Total parental score!

Once the entries were completed...Lia did the honors...and drew the lucky winner...

Wait for it....

Stacey C....Congratulations!!!!! It is going to be a VERY special photo shoot...and I can't wait!!!

After we finished, Lia wondered why I couldn't give EVERYONE a free session...and I agreed with her...I wish I could! I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love...and I thank EACH and every one of you for believing in what I do. I am excited about what the new year will bring...and I am truly thrilled to have each of you along for the ride.

I wish each of you a blessed holiday season...and the very happiest of New Years!

Merry Merry Max & Mimi...with thanks...

Whew...where did THAT year go?? It's hard for me to grasp that it was just one year ago that our family grew by one when we traveled to China to bring home our second daughter. The number of children in our home doubled...but the fun and laughter and busy grew exponentially! In the most beautiful way.

It was also a year of great growth for Max & Mimi. I am so very grateful for the many families that allowed me, for just a moment, to come along with you...and capture the moments we all wish we could bottle and save forever. I am so thankful for old friends and new ones. Thank you to all of you who passed my name along, who recommended me, who believed in me...and who ultimately trusted me with your most special moments. It is because of you all that I am able to do what I love most. Thank you.

So...as a thank you...I am, once again, offering a chance to one family to win a full session with Max & Mimi! And I am merry indeed at the very thought! :-)

The contest is for one family (up to six people) session. The winner will receive a complimentary session at a location in Bucks or Clearfield County to take place in the spring/summer 2013. I will offer assistance in styling the session and work with you to create images that are meaningful to your family.

Upon completion of the session, the winner will receive a disk with a minimum of  25 of the best images from your session, hand edited and enhanced, to have printed as you wish. The winner must be willing to sign a release allowing Max & Mimi to use the images for advertising purposes.

...and now the MOST important part...HOW to enter!

1. To receive one entry...leave a comment, with an e-mail address on THIS blog post.

2. To receive a second entry, "Like" Max & Mimi Photography on Facebook (link on the bottom)...and come back to leave a second comment telling me you did. If you already like Max & Mimi...it's all good...just leave a second comment telling me! (and thank you! :-))

3. To receive a third entry, share this blog post or contest with your friends on Facebook. And (I know you know what I am going to say!) leave a third comment telling me you did.

The contest will run until midnight on November 30th. The winner will be announced on Sunday, December 2nd.

I am very excited to be able to give one family a session...and I hope you all have some fun too! Good luck to you all...and thank you

EnJoyIng liFe {I Heart Faces Challenge}

When I learned that the theme of this month's I Heart Faces photo challenge was {Enjoying Life}...I just knew I had to enter a photo...but my dilemma became WHICH photo to enter.

Our Jillian has been home from China for just over 7 months. And while we continue to learn more about her, little by little...it has been clear from the start that she is a child who definitely enjoys life. She wakes up each morning ready to tackle the day, come what may...and laugh a lot along the way.
I took this photo just a few weeks ago...during her first trip to the beach. The memories of her joy will surely stay with me all the days of my life...simultaneously bringing both a smile to my face and a tear to me eye.

This child has taught me so much in the short time she has been home...and I can't wait to see where she takes us next. One thing is for sure...with Jillian in our lives, we are ALL enjoying life just a little bit more!

Hop on over to I Heart Faces to see more entries in the {Enjoying Life} contest!

{Hey Girl} | I Heart Faces

The I Heart Faces photo challenge for May is in full swing...and can I just say...I LOVE the theme...."Hey Girl"??? I immediately thought of this photo I took of my niece under the boardwalk in Atlantic City. We braved a certain element of danger to get the shot...not sure if we were comforted or not by the constant drive-throughs by the AC police....

Luckily our own personal security detail (my husband and brother in law) kept us safe and sound...and this shot made our little adventure worth it...plus it's just a fun story we all love to recount on those rare occasions we are all together! :-)

.Hey Girl.

Stop over to I Heart Faces to check out the other entries featuring female faces in honor of Mother's Day!
